As you may have heard, Sunday April 11th, around 1:30pm the St. Francis Animal Sanctuary Thrift Store was destroyed in an electrical fire.  The building sustained significant damage before the fire was extinguished.

The SFAS Thrift Store generats the funds needed to buy all the SFAS animals' food and supplies each month. This is a devastating loss for us.

WWLTV, Channel 4 in LA, will have a feature story about the fire and the sanctuary at 6PM either tonight (4/13) or tomorrow (4/14). Please tune in (and ask your family and friends to watch too!) to hear the whole story!

One great bit of new is that we have found a new location.

813 Florida Street
Suite E, Pelican Plaza
Mandeville, LA 70448
(Right next to Wabi Sabi and The Triple Nickel resturants)

However, in order to rent a new location, it will cost approximately $4000 to pay security deposit, 1st month's rent, utility connections, signs, stock displays, shelves, etc. Some donations have come in, but we still need more help!

If you would like to make and online contribution towards opening a new SFAS Thrift Store you can donate through our secure shopping cart. All online donations are secure, however you can also mail donations to:

St. Francis Animal Sanctuary
P.O. Box 0616
Mandeville, LA 70470

We are accepting donated items to stock the new Thrift Store. We are looking for furniture, quality home décor, dishware, knick-knacks, art pieces, handbags, jewelry and books. No clothing or toys, please.

Donations can be dropped off at the new Thrift Store during store business hours. Please call in advance to arrange for delivery of large furniture items.
