| "Bumper"
had been hit by a car, and left on the side of a busy street in late October
2007 she was still unconscious when we found her. We then rushed her to
the vet, where we found her jaw had been badly broken and had to be wired shut. She healed
real nice and became a loving member of our family here at St. Francis
Animal Sanctuary.
Seven month's had passed and with no response to the many flyers we had put
out in an effort to locate her owners we decided to take her along with
7 other cats to Massachusetts where they were sure to be adopted to
loving families. |

"Bumper" and the others were at the
vet getting there ok to travel that next morning, when we got a phone
call from Elizabeth Oconnell who had found a faded flyer and thought
maybe by chance "Bumper might be her little Delilah. When Elizabeth's
cat Delilah come up missing she had found that her neighbors had been
trapping and euthanizing cats and that several of them were gray. With
that she was sure that they had taken her Delilah. Within a few short
minuets of talking we were able to conclude that "Bumper" was in deed
Delilah. They were reunited that very weekend. What a truly wonderful
ending to what had started out to be a real bad day for Delilah that
afternoon in late October...... |
