Our Mission

St. Francis Animal Sanctuary (SFAS) is a not for profit organization that strives to match pets and people for a lifetime. All animals that are rescued are guaranteed a home regardless of the length of time they may have to stay at the Sanctuary.

We strive to achieve several goals at the Sanctuary:

  • Promote compassion and respect for all living creatures.

  • Provide animal rescue and disaster response services.

  • Promote the Best Friends' No More Homeless Pets campaign.

  • Reduce the number of unwanted pets through spay and neuter.

Heidi Krupp's Legacy

Heidi Krupp, director and co-founder of SFAS, was devoted to saving unwanted animals. On August 22, 2008, Heidi lost her valiant battle with cancer. Though she can no longer guide us in our fight to save animals, she has left a enduring legacy behind.

Under the direction of Pam Perez, Heidi's mother and co-founder of SFAS, we will continue to work towards Heidi's vision of No More Homeless animals.

Every life saved by SFAS, past, present, or future, is a living testament of Heidi's kindness, generosity, hard work, and dedication.
