Visits the Sanctuary

St. Francis LOVES visitors...

and so do our pups!

    On July 13, SFAS was visited by Krissie Newman and Rosalie De Fini of the Ryan Newman Foundation.  Krissie is the wife of Ryan Newman, driver of the #12 Alltel Dodge in the NASCAR Nextel Cup.  Ryan and Krissie were recently named Spokespeople for The National Spay/Neuter Response Team.

    The Sanctuary has been in contact with the Foundation over the last several months and we were all excited about the visit!  After meeting our Sanctuary Trustees and Virginia's dog Eddy, everyone gathered at the Real Life Building to see the two-week old puppies being taken care of by their loving mom, Dawn.  Soon everyone was off for the grand tour of the Sanctuary grounds with Heidi.  After seeing the property we visited with the cats in Kitty Village (they had to meet Elvis and Julius!) and for the most part all of our residents were on their best behavior.  We enjoyed a light lunch and plenty of "puppy company" from Beauty and Bella (above).
